INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Police Chief of Police General Tito Karnavian admitted that he had not yet determined Syafruddin's successor to assume the position of Deputy Chief of Police.

"There is no name yet, I will communicate with the President," Tito said at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday. (08/15/2018)

On this day, President Joko Widodo installed former Deputy Chief of Police Syafruddin as Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform replacing Asman Abnur. Syafruddin who previously held the rank of police general commander also stated that he retired as a member of the National Police. "The consideration is for two-star (irjen) or three-star (comm.) Officers," Tito added.

When asked for his opinion on the name of Inspector General (Inspector General) Pol. Idham Azis, who is currently Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, Tito said that his party must consult with President Joko Widodo.

"Later after I consulted with the President. The mechanism was like that. It was prerogative of the president after conveying the approval of the President, there was no time limit," Tito told the media crew.
