INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Pertamina EP (PEP), and Cooperation Contract Contractors under the supervision of SKK Migas, managed to find oil and gas reserves and condensate in the PEP Asset 3 area of Jatibarang Field, West Java.
The discovery of this reserve by a Pertamina subsidiary through the drilling of the Akasia Forward 001 exploration well (AMJ-001).
The AMJ-001 well is located in Bulak Lor Village, Jatibarang District, Indramayu Regency. The well that began to be drafted on March 20, 2018 using the PDSI Rig # 38.2 / D1000-E, was completed on August 20, 2018.
The well was drilled to a depth of 2,517 meters. The production test successfully drains hydrocarbons, either oil or gas. One production test was even able to flow oil up to 1,700 BOPD. While other production tests results also flow gas and condensate.
Exploration & New Discovery Project Director of PT Pertamina EP Achmad Alfian Husein said this program is one of the company's work plans in 2018.
"Thank God, all the efforts that have been carried out have started to give positive results, we believe that with synergy and hard work can contribute to the achievement of national production," Alfian said on Thursday (08/23/2018).
This discovery aside from being a breath of fresh air for PT Pertamina EP, it also opened up potential exploration opportunities in areas that were already in the mature stages of production. PT Pertamina EP continues to evaluate the structure of the findings and begin a study to accelerate these findings to the development stage.
