GIIAS Makassar 2018 Show World Class Car Brands

INDUSTRY.co.id - Makassar - The 2018 Indonesia Auto Show (GIIAS) Makassar Auto Show 2018 annual automotive exhibition is held again today, Tuesday, August 21 to Sunday August 26, 2018 at the Celebes Convention Center (CCC). GIIAS Makassar Auto Show 2018 is one of the GIIAS 2018 exhibition series which began with the implementation of GIIAS which took place at ICE - BSD in the beginning of August.

The 2018 GIIAS Makassar Auto Show was attended by more than 30 exhibitors, consisting of passenger vehicle brands, and commercial vehicles, as well as motorcycle brands. World brands such as Daihatsu, DFSK, Honda, Jeep, KIA, Mazda, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Toyota and Wuling, and Mitsubishi Fuso and Tata Motors participated this year.

The exhibition was officially opened by the Acting Governor of South Sulawesi, Soni Sumarsono, M.DM. In his opening speech, Soni Sumarsono expressed his gratitude for the selection of the city of Makassar in South Sulawesi as one of the locations of the 4 2018 GIIAS Roadshow implementing areas,

"The selection of Makassar City is the right choice. Because in addition to the position as the gateway to the territory of East Indonesia, Makassar, especially South Sulawesi, is also the center of distribution and re-distribution of all activities in the Eastern Indonesia region. So that if economic growth increases, the eastern region will also continue to be influential, "said Soni.

Soni Sumarsono also revealed the plan of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government regarding the improvement of facilities for exhibition venues in Makassar, "We are rearranging the design of the meeting hall, especially the management of the Celebes Convention Center so that it can meet the needs of all parties who want to hold an exhibition in South Sulawesi."

Rizwan Alamsjah as Chairperson of GAIKINDO III in his remarks also reiterated that the presence of GIIAS Makassar Auto Show represented the spirit of GAIKINDO to build and enlarge the automotive industry both for industry players in the capital and in other big cities, "GIIAS Makassar Auto Show, GAIKINDO inviting automotive industry players in South Sulawesi in particular to continue to build and grow in tune with developments in the automotive world ".

This time the GIIAS Makassar Auto Show held the theme of Autovaganza, the organizers expected this year's exhibition to be an automotive party that satisfies visitors' curiosity about the latest technology of each participant that had previously been exhibited at GIIAS ICE-BSD.

During the holding of the Makassar GIIAS will present a special program that can be enjoyed by all visitors. The first program is VIP Day which is intended for VIP visitors, the community and associations who get special invitations, as well as the Free Entry for Friends GIIAS program that is intended for all visitors who have participated in the social media of Makassar GIIAS and registered at the exhibition location.

Do not forget as in previous years, various outdoor events will always accompany visitors who tour the Makassar GIIAS. In addition to program events such as Car & Motorcycle Modification, Live modification & audio design workshops, to special performances from various car communities, there is also a food court and foodtruck facilities that are always ready to spoil visitors.

GIIAS Makassar Auto Show will be opened to the public on Tuesday, August 21, at 10:00 - 18:00 WITA. While Wednesday, August 22, the exhibition's operating hours are 12.00 - 21.00 WITA. In addition to that date, which is Thursday to Sunday, August 23-26, the operating hours of the exhibition will take place normally at 10:00 - 21:00 WITA.
