INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), found oil, gas and condensate reserves in the Asset 3 area of Jatibarang Field, West Java.
"Alhamdulillah, all the efforts that have been carried out have started to give positive results. We believe that with synergy and hard work can contribute to the achievement of national production," PEP Exploration & New Discovery Project Director Achmad Alfian Husein said in a press release here on Thursday (08/23/2018)
The discovery of the reserves was produced through drilling of the Akasia Maju-001 exploration well (AMJ-001), which is located in Bulak Lor Village, Jatibarang District, Indramayu Regency.
The well began to be invited since March 20, 2018 using PDSI # 38.2 / D1000-E rigs and completed on August 20, 2018 with a drilling depth of 2,517 meters.
The production test successfully drains hydrocarbons, either oil or gas.
One production test is able to drain oil up to 1,700 barrels per day (BOPD). While other production tests results also flow gas and condensate.
The discovery is claimed to be a breath of fresh air for PEP while at the same time opening up potential exploration opportunities in areas that are already in the mature stages of production.
PEP continues to evaluate the structure of the findings and begins a study to accelerate these findings to the development stage.
