The Government Changes the Name of Silangit to Sisingamangaraja International Airport

INDUSTRY.co.id - Medan - Ministry of Transportation changed the name Silangit Airport located in North Tapanuli Regency to be changed to Raja Sisingamangaraja XII International Airport.
Through the Lake Toba Authority group in Medan, Saturday (8/9/2018), it is known that the change is stated in the Minister of Transportation Decree No. 1404 of 2018 concerning Amendment to the Name of Silangit International Airport to Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Internaional Airport.
The Minister of Transportation's decision was socialized by the Head of the Ministry of Transportation's Legal Bureau Wahju Adji H through letter Number 243 / Srt / B.IV / IX / 2018 dated September 4, 2018.
In the letter, the Head of the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation Wahju Adji H stated that the decision to change the name of the airport was made on 3 September 2018.
The letter was addressed to the Secretary of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Director of the Air Transportation Airport of the Ministry of Transportation.
However, Wahju Adji did not explain the reasons and considerations behind the change of name of the Silangit International Airport Airport to Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Internaional Airport.
The Chairperson of North Sumatra DPRD Commission D in charge of development and transportation Ariwibowo said he did not know and had not received a copy of the decision letter to change the name of the Silangit Airport.
However, the Gerindra Party politician said that he responded positively to the change of name to Raja Sisingamangaraja XII Internaional Airport.
"I think it's good, because it shows the identity of the airport, moreover the name of Raja Sisingamangaraja XII is very well known," he said.
