Visiting South Korea, President Jokowi Brings Six Points of Cooperation

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo visits the country to South Korea. The visit was to commemorate 45 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and South Korea. Jokowi arrived in South Korea on Sunday (9/9).

Meanwhile the Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea Umar Hadi said the visit also strengthened the economic relations of the two countries, especially in the face of uncertain global economic conditions.

"Starting in the morning there was a one on one meeting with entrepreneurs / private companies here, then a business forum,"

After that there is an official welcoming ceremony, which will be carried out with the friendship talk that will be followed by the President and First Lady of two countries.

"So this friendship talk is the talk of the President and First Lady from two countries," said Retno.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister said that tomorrow the President would also put a wreath on the grave of a hero and lunch at the Indonesian Embassy as well as scheduled to launch a citizen protection portal.

"Furthermore, the President will hold a limited meeting with President Moon, plenary will be continued, then a joint press conference, then a dinner," added the Foreign Minister.

For information, the Foreign Minister also explained that last year Indonesia and South Korea posted a significant increase in trade of almost 20%, namely precisely at 19.2%.

Regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be signed, Ambassador Umar Hadi said that there were several sectors including automotive, metal industry, chemical, garment, footware, and start-up.

Accompanying the President during this state visit included Secretary General Pramono Anung, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Head of BKPM Thomas Lembon
