INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Responding to the government's appeal to keep education activities going after the West Nusa Tenggara earthquake disaster in early August, a total of 16,000 notebooks were donated to students at the disaster site, through the ranks of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
"Our highest appreciation for the enthusiasm of students and educators who did not disappear after the earthquake struck. We hope that learning and teaching activities that continue to run can be a form of therapy for psychological recovery after a disaster, "Sinar Mas Managing Director Saleh Husin said after symbolically handing over aid to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Imam Nahrawi at the Kemenpora office.
The donation aims to support the School Back Movement which was launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture so that educational activities will not stop even though they are still in an emergency and full of limitations. All notebooks donated are the production of Sinar Mas's Asia Pulp & Paper, branded as Sinar Dunia or SiDU.
On the same occasion, the Menpora received a book of Million Support for Indonesia which contained a variety of written support from elementary school students during the 'Let's Write With SiDU!' Event which took place on July 26, for Indonesian national athletes ahead of them competing in the 18th Asian Games .
