Minister of ESDM: BBM One Price Program Has Reached 22 Points across Indonesia

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan explained that until mid-August 2017, the fuel oil program has reached 22 points throughout Indonesia.

Jonan said BBM one price is a definite commitment. The President has ordered the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources to make the Regulation of the Minister of BBM one price at RON 88 (premium) and diesel 48.

Data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources states that until August 14, 2017 BBM has recorded one price has reached 22 points in all parts of Indonesia. Report from the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (DG Migas) and Pertamina stated that there is additional point of a new channel institution so the amount (BBM Satu Harga) is currently 22 points.

The 22 points are targeted to Papua Province by eight points (Puncak, Duga, Yalimo, Mamberamo Raya, Central Mamberamo, Tolikara, Intan Jaya, Paniai), West Papua Province as two points (Arafak Rural District, South Sorong) and one point In North Maluku Province (Kabupaten Morotai).

The rest, namely 11 points spread to North Borneo (Nunukan District), North Sumatra (South Nias Regency), West Sumatra (Mentawai Islands District), Central Java (Jepara District), East Java (Sumenep), West Nusa Tenggara (Sumbawa) East Nusa Tenggara (East Sumba), Southeast Sulawesi (Wakatobi), East Kalimantan (Mahakam Hulu Regency), West Kalimantan (Bengkayang Regency), and North Sulawesi (Kabupaten Talaud Islands).

These areas are 3T areas (leading, outer and backward) which are the Government's concerns. On various occasions Jonan acknowledged the establishment of infrastructure is a challenge in realizing the program of BBM Satu Price in the 3T area.

"The obstacle is one of the infrastructure, some are channeled by airplane.The second is the cooperation of each stakeholder in each region in order to make the fuel is the same price," said Jonan, Tuesday (15/08/2017) .

As per the one-way fuel price map, the government targets the operation of 150 channeling institutions by 2019, 54 points each by 2017, 50 points by 2018 and 46 points by 2019.

BBM price is expected to boost the economy of the local community as long as it is purchased from retailers between Rp8.000 to Rp100.000 per liter to only Rp6.450 per liter for premium and Rp5.150 per liter for diesel.
