President Jokowi Kicks Off Riau Working Visit

INDUSTRY.co.id - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is slated to inspect an infrastructure project and mass vaccination during his working visit to Riau Province on Wednesday (19/05).

The Indonesian-1 Presidential Aircraft took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at around 07.00 Western Indonesian Time.

Upon arrival at the Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base, Pekanbaru, Riau Province, the President is slated to visit the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang toll road construction and inspect the construction of the 40-kilometer toll road that is part of Trans-Sumatra toll road network.

Afterwards, President Jokowi is scheduled to deliver directives to Governor, Regents and Mayors of Riau Province on COVID-19 pandemic handling.

After the meeting, the President and his entourage will visit the Sports Center near the Riau Province Regional Building to inspect the implementation of mass COVID-19 vaccination.

Participants of the vaccination are public servants, teachers, religious leaders, community leaders, and the elderly.

After completing the working visit in Riau Province, the President is scheduled to visit Riau Islands Province.
