INDUSTRY.co.id - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (10/06) inspected mass COVID-19 vaccination at Kampung Rambutan Bus Station, Jakarta.

“The vaccine recipients are drivers, driver assistants, and owners of small businesses and micro businesses in the bus station and its surrounding area. This morning, approximately 1,000 people get vaccinated,” the President said.

The President went on to say that workers in the transportation sector are included in the priority list for vaccination because they have a high level of interaction and mobility and Kampung Rambutan Bus Station is one of the transportation hubs in Indonesia.

The President also expressed hope that the vaccination will reduce the spread of COVID-19.

“We hope that the recipients of today’s vaccination, approximately 1,000 [people], will be protected from the spread of COVID-19,” the President said.

Accompanying President during the event were Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, and Governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan.
