According to him, in the next three days another batch of Sinopharm vaccine with a total of four million doses will also arrive and will be used for the mutual cooperation (gotong royong) vaccination scheme.
“We hope that the Sinopharm vaccine imported by PT Kimia Farma, a subsidiary of Bio Farma (state pharmaceutical company), will be used for mutual cooperation vaccination scheme,” he said.
The Deputy Minister also said that the mutual cooperation vaccination scheme is a complementary program to support the Government’s vaccination drive in its effort to achieve herd immunity.
Pahala also praised all stakeholders who have supported the arrival of the Sinopharm vaccine, including Ministry of Health, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and state-owned enterprises.
For the record, the recent arrival of the vaccine is the 22nd batch of the overall COVID-19 vaccine received by Indonesia and the third batch of Sinopharm vaccine.
