INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang - Sriwijaya Festival XXVI held in Palembang end of August 2017 as an event to promote the tourism area because through these activities various cultures including tourist attractions were introduced.

Each district and city will display the distinctive culture of each region to be more familiar to the public, said Head of Culture and Tourism of South Sumatra Irene Camelyn Sinaga in Palembang, Monday (21/08/2017)

She said, not only that but the districts and cities will introduce tourist attractions in their respective areas.

In fact, each region will introduce typical regional food, she said.

Therefore the Sriwijaya Festival as a venue for promoting regional tourism, he said to the media crew.

According to her, Sriwijaya Festival has become a national tourism agenda that is routinely implemented every year.

With the festival is expected tourist visits to the province is increasing, she said.

What is clear with the festival is the culture and tourism of South Sumatra will be increasingly known to the public including abroad, she said.

Moreover, Sriwijaya Festival series towards the implementation of Asian Games 2018 so that activities should be more lively.

Sriwijaya Festival is planned to open Governor of South Sumatra Alex Noerdin, she added.
