President Jokowi Attends the Oath Ceremony of the Chief and Deputy Chief Justices of the Constitutional Court for the 2023-2028 period

INDUSTRY.co.id - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) attended the Oath Ceremony of Anwar Usman and Saldi Isra as Chair and Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) for the 2023-2028 Term of Office, Monday (20/03/2023).
The oath was given at the Plenary Session Room, Constitutional Court Building, Jakarta.
The appointment of Anwar Usman as Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court was based on the Decree of the Indonesian Constitutional Court Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Appointment of the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court for the 2023-2028 term which was determined in Jakarta on March 15, 2023.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Saldi Isra was based on the Decree of the Indonesian Constitutional Court Number 5 of 2023 concerning Appointments Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court for the 2023-2028 Term of Office established in Jakarta on March 15, 2023.
"By Allah, I swear that I will fulfill the obligations of the Chairman/Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court in the best and fairest possible way, uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and carry out all statutory regulations as strictly as possible according to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. -The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and serve the homeland and nation," said a fragment of the oath read by Anwar Usman and Saldi Isra.
After the procession of taking the oath of office and signing the minutes which were carried out before nine constitutional judges, Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and other invited guests then congratulated Anwar Usman and Saldi Isra.
Also accompanying the President in this event were, among others, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, and Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly.
