INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Global Expo Management Indonesia again held an exhibition of products, services and shipping industry entitled Inamarine 2017 at Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Wednesday (23/8) to Friday (25/8). This activity is expected to support the development of the maritime industry in the country. Director of PT Global Expo Management (GEM) Indonesia Baki Lee, when opening the exhibition, stated, the maritime industry

"In addition to holding INAMARINE 2017, GEM Indonesia held Indonesia Coating 2017 and Welding 2017 on August 23 to 25 in Jiexpo Kemayoran", as disclosed by Baki Lee always Director of PT GEM Indonesia

Baki further explained that the maritime industry is currently playing an important role in the Indonesian economy, especially with the development of maritime axis programs, sea tolls, marine (border) protection from theft and smuggling to potential economic growth due to Indonesia's maritime connection with silk lines (one belt one way).

"The maritime industry is one of the most influential industrial and asset sectors of the country to the progress of the national economy," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Ships and Offshore Industries (Iperlindo), Eddy Kurniawan Logam, said that with the growth and development of maritime industry, Shipyard-Port-Infrastructure (GKPI) will boost demand for shipping industry and its components, For new vessel demand and ship maintenance (new build of after sales), which will boost Indonesia's economic growth in the maritime industry.

"Based on data from the world food agency (FAO), the value of the Indonesian marine economy is estimated to reach 3 trillion US dollars to 50 dollars or equivalent 36000 trillion to Rp60.000 4 years This is because Indonesia has three archipelagic sea archipelago (ALKI) Very high trade value and shows that Indonesia is the most potential and influential country in the shipping industry sector, "he said.

INAMARINE 2017 has been participated by more than 300 participants from 19 participating countries will bring 18.000 visitors from home and abroad, INAMARINE 2017 also get full support from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian Shipbuilding Companies Association (Iperindo), Indonesian National Shipowners Association (INSA ), Indonesian Port Business (ABUPI), Indonesian Maritime Practitioners (Pramarin), and Indonesian Ship Components Industry Association (PIKKI) and Indonesian Coting Association (ASCOATINDO).
