Sari Aditya Loka Prepares Scheme of Replacement Program of 1,000 Hectares in Jambi

INDUSTRY.co.id - Bungo - PT Sari Aditya Loka (SAL) 2 & 3 is preparing a replanting program scheme around PT SAL 2 & 3 which is a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI).

Administrator of PT Sari Aditya Loka (SAL) 2 & 3, Azhar Rahman said, Next year, SAL2 & 3 want to start a replanting program for the 1,000 hectare palm plantation.

"Insha Allah, next year we start a thousand hectares first.Alhamdulillah all parties support including local government," said Azhar in SAL Office 2, Bungo District, Jambi, Friday (15/09/2017).

According to him, SAL 2 & 3 is ready to become an offtaker of replanting. Where, the replanting program is estimated to cost Rp69 million per hectare. In this program, the company is ready to bail out the funds and provide technical assistance to the group of oil palm farmers who will do replanting.

"We will discuss it later to the center for further discussion, and we need to talk to many parties, such as BPDP Palm and financial institutions," said Azhar.

Azhar said, currently the area of ​​oil palm plantations around PT SAL 2 & 3 reached 22 thousand hectares where, an area of ​​18 thousand hectares owned by plasma farmers, the remaining 4 thousand hectares owned by self-help farmers.

"This replanting program, the period from the new plant to the first harvest, now there are 4 or 5 KUD interested, we have done the initial preparations, and we are ready to become the operator," continued Azhar.

In order for the replanting program to be held quickly, said Azhar, the company will conduct a study to Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra. This area will be a pilot project for replanting programs in the country.

"Clearly we are serious, this is all to encourage productivity, ultimately for the welfare of oil palm farmers as well," he concluded.
