INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - As one form of awareness and series of breast cancer campaign activities in Indonesia, Lovepink announced the results of Lovepink Survey in the event entitled "Indonesia Goes Pink For The Love of Life" to know the accurate data about breast cancer in Indonesia.
In addition, Lovepink also announced the Indonesia Goes Pink (IGP) event which will take place in Nusa Dua, Bali on 7-8 October 2017 in collaboration with Bali Pink Ribbon, Reach to Recovery Surabaya and Surabaya Oncology Hospital.
Based on portrait of breast cancer patient in Jakarta obtained from Lovepink survey results, found the movement toward breast cancer patients toward the young age of 30-34 years and many breast cancer patients are often late in getting treatment because patients come to check her breasts after an advanced stage .

In the survey results found some insight, among others, people have a high level of confidence with doctors and the number of respondents who know the physical symptoms of breast cancer but not doing BSE (Check Breast Self) and SADANIS (Clinical Breast Examination).
Shanti Persada, co-founder of Lovepink explains, "Looking at the various portraits and facts about our breast cancer survey, it takes an active step from the community and government to overcome various issues about breast cancer, including by giving counseling about breast cancer accompanied by a check medical education to provide knowledge about breast cancer in adolescents, provide socialization of how to detect early breast cancer with BSE and SADANIS, in addition people should also sort the correct information and immediately consult a doctor if you find symptoms of cancer.
Samantha Barbara, Vice Chairman of the IGP added, "We see that the most trusted source of information is the experience of the survivors, so to answer that, we are bringing the Indonesia Goes Pink (IGP) as a platform for warriors, survivors and supporters to gain information more deeply about breast cancer and encouraging each other and working together to fight breast cancer. "
IGP is an open breast cancer care activity for warriors, survivors, relatives and family. The series of IGP activities consist of gathering together with survivors, workshops (make up class, self healing, learning to wear cloth) talk shows, Thousand Voices of Survivors Dinner (Saturday, October 7) and Pink Run, Fun Walk and ultrasound examination on Sunday October) for supporters who want to give their support to the warriors through 5k, 10k, 21k running activities with the running course route planned by professional running event organizers.
Samantha added, "IGP also involves a community of runners to get awareness about breast cancer. Pink Run registration fee is Rp 250 thousand for 5K, Rp 300 thousand for 10K, and Rp 400 thousand for 21K.
