Balkondes Operation Needs Community Preparedness

INDUSTRY.co.id - Magelang – State Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Rini Soemarno said that the operation of the village economic center (Balkondes) around Borobudur temple in Magelang regency, Central Java needs local people's insanity.

"Physically the next six to seven months of development of balkondes as a whole is over, but we are still worried about the readiness of the local community for its management," she said in Magelang, Monday (18/09/2017)

She said this after accompanying the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo review Balkondes Tuksongo and Balkondes Wringin Putih in Borobudur District, Magelang District.

She said that the physical building is faster to finish, but the main thing is how to prepare the community to be trained in order to present good culinary, to give good service, so balkondes is also built gradually to prepare the community in the village to get used to manage the home stay good.

She said the preparation continues to be done, target "home stay" in the balkondes area later a total of at least 200 rooms.

"What we prepare the community so that the management of the community itself, this is important because the purpose of balkondes and home stay is how to prosper the people in the village," she said.
