Ngurah Rai Airport Has Not yet Affected by the Alert Status of Mount Agung

INDUSTRY.co.id - Denpasar - I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Manager, Bali, stated that the flight activity at the local airport is still normal because it has not been put on standby status in Gunung Agung.
"No flights are canceled related to the alert status of Gunung Agung," said Head of Public Relations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Arie Ahsanurrohim International Airport in Kuta, Badung regency, Wednesday (20/09/2017)
According to Arie so far the normal flight activity as usual for both domestic and international routes.
However, airport managers maintain intensive coordination with BMKG until the airlines are responding to the increased volcanic activity as high as 3,142 meters above sea level.
Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Agus Santoso met while attending an East Indonesia flight workshop with the United States Government on Tuesday (19/9) mentioned that the flight at Ngurah Rai Airport is still safe in the current state of standby.
It is monitoring the development of volcanic activity related to Mount Agung based on reports from BMKG and from Volcanic Asha Advisory Australia.
