Meaning the New Year Muharram 1439 Hijriyah Transformatively

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Secretary General of the Nahdlatul Ulama Board of Helmy Faishal Zaini said the new year of Muharram 1439 Hijriyah / 2017 AD is a momentum to reflect on the meaning of transformative hijrah as taught by Prophet Muhammad SAW.

"Religion should we interpret as a transformative teaching so that we can continue to adapt and always ready with the challenges of the increasingly complex days," said Helmy in Jakarta, Wednesday (201/9/2017)

According to him, Prophet Mohammed's move from one Mecca locus to the other locus of Madinah gives new lessons, perspectives, and spirits in preaching.

He said all the motions of his life go towards the nature of the meaning of hijra itself. In an idiomatic language, hijra can be arranged in the framework of "minadz dzulumaati ilannuur", that is darkness to a brightly lit condition.

In any context, he said, the framework and spirit of hijra could be applied. In a personal context, the hijrah framework can be used as a framework for self-improvement.

"Of course, as the smallest and most important element in a social structure, a good personality will give birth to a good social order," he said.
