Raja Ampat more popular, Garuda Indonesia Promote Intensively

INDUSTRY.co.id -Papua - Garuda Indonesia Limited Management Company is actively promoting tourism to Raja Ampat, West Papua Province, so that tourism activities in the area can increase and impact on the economy of the surrounding community.

"We are also intensively promoting Papua and in Sorong its tourist visit is increasing because of Raja Ampat," said Director of Marketing and Information of PT Garuda Indonesia, Lina Sulistiowati, in Jayapura, Friday (29/09/2017).

She explained that one of the concrete steps taken by Garuda is to hold "Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair" (GATF) simultaneously across Indonesia and 17 other cities abroad.

"This opportunity (GATF) is usually used to be able to tour with his family," she said.

According to her, in every implementation of GATF it not only offers travel tickets, but also domestic and foreign tour packages with attractive price quotes.

"Various bidding facilities that we provide such as in cooperation with travel agents in the form of tour packages include umroh package and also cargo, so send wherever Garuda is ready," she said again.

Sulistiowati claims that the GATF implementation is not merely looking for profit, but there is a broader target that has an impact on improving the tourism industry.

"In the implementation of this GATF Garuda Indonesia also took travel agents and companies Umrah and Hajj also industrial hotel expedition from the city around Timika and Sorong," she said.
