KPK Extends Detention PKS Politician Yudi Widiana

INDUSTRY.co.id - "Today the extension of the second phase of the District Court for 30 days from 17 October to 15 November 2017 for Yudi Widiana Adia suspects corruption cases related to the acceptance of prize projects at the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Fiscal Year 2016," said Daily Executive ( Plh) Kabiro Humas KPK Yuyuk Andriati in KPK building, Jakarta, Friday (13/10/2017)

Previously, the KPK has also extended the detention of Yudi Widiana Adia for 30 days starting from 17 September to 16 October 2017.

KPK has established Yudi who is also Vice Chairman of Commission V DPR RI as a suspect on February 6, 2017 and just arrested on July 19, 2017.

Yudi allegedly received a gift or appointment from So Kok Seng alias Aseng as Commissioner of PT Cahaya Mas Perkasa amounting to Rp 4 billion.

For his actions, Yudi is suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or letter b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 as amended in Law Number 20 Year 2001 juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

The Article governs the civil servant or the organizer of the country receiving the prize, whereas it is known or reasonably suspected that the prize is given as a result or is due to having done or not doing something in his / her position that is contrary to his obligation with a maximum sentence of 20 years in jail and a fine of not more than Rp1 billion.

Aseng himself has been sentenced to 4 years imprisonment plus a fine of Rp150 million subsider 3 months confinement because it is considered proven to give bribes to three members of Commission V DPR and Head of BPJN IX Maluku and North Maluku Amran Hi Mustary.

Related to this case, there are already seven people who were sentenced to the verdict namely members of Commission V of the PDI-P faction Damayanti Wisnu Putrani who was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison, two Damayanti colleagues Dessy Ariyati Edwin and Julia Prasetyarini alias Uwi have been sentenced each 4 years prison, a member of Commission V of Golkar Budi Supriyanto who was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Next, former member of House Commission V of PAN fraction Andi Taufan Tiro sentenced to 9 years in prison and withdrawal of political rights, Head of National Road Implementing Agency (BPJN) IX Maluku and North Maluku Amran Hi Mustary sentenced to 6 years in prison while Abdul Khoir has been sentenced to 4 years in prison.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Commission V Faction Group PKB Musa Zainuddin is still undergoing trial at the Corruption Court in Jakarta.
