INDUSTRY.co.id - Banda Aceh- PT Semen Indonesia Aceh suspended the plant construction project in Laweung, Pidie District, until the land issue is completed.

"The land issue has been handed over to the Pidie District Government to finish it," said President Director Bahar Syamsu to reporters in Banda Aceh (15/10/2017)

He stated that related to the termination, all the corporate social activities (CSR) that have been running and that have been planned also experienced delays as of 10 October 2017.

To date, PT Semen Indonesia Aceh has spent Rp300 billion.

He stated that in a cement plant project in Laweung, PT Semen Indonesia Aceh cooperates with PT Samana Citra Agung as a shareholder of 12 percent as a landowner.

It is said, legally the land area of 1550 hectares owned by PT Samana has been valid which is marked by the existence of land certificate.

But in the field there are still many problems in the field, because people still recognize that their land and there is no compensation, so the company can not carry out project activities, he said.

So, he said, due to land issues owned by PT Samana Citra Agung, the company submitted the problem to the local company to be completed together with the community and Pidie regency.

However, Bahar Syamsu is convinced that the Rp5.8 trillion project can run because in general the people of Aceh really want PT Semen Indonesia Aceh factory to be realized.

"The people now hand over the land issue to the regent, so now the regent's job with PT Samana Citra Agung solves this problem, I am sure the land issue will be finished soon, if all parties are communicating," he said.

It is said that the existence of factories in Laweung will benefit the economy in Aceh, especially the community and Pidie Regency Government in terms of local revenue.
