Japanese Investor Immediately Builds Cocoa Processing Plant in Gorontalo

INDUSTRY.co.id - Gorontalo - Deputy Governor of Gorontalo Idris Rahim admitted there are Japanese investors, namely Tokyo Food and Kanimatsu Corporation, intending to build a cocoa processing plant in Boalemo Regency.

Vice Governor added, Gorontalo Provincial Government (Gorontalo) basically welcomes and will support Japanese investor plan to develop Cocoa plant in that area, although the factory is still built on a small scale.

"Because it is currently the extent of cocoa crop in Boalemo Regency still need to be developed again," said Idris, after receiving the visit of Tokyo Food and Kanimatsu Corporation team in his office on Thursday (13/7/2017)

He explained that the first stage of the potential investors is a small-scale plant, but for the supply of raw materials of Cocoa beans are not only in Boalemo, but also from several districts in Gorontalo, such as Pohuwato, Bone Bolango and Kabupaten Gorontalo.

"But it can also be supported by the supply of Cocoa Beans from the surrounding areas such as Bolaang Mongondow Selatan and East Bolaang Mongondow (North Sulawesi) and Central Sulawesi," said Vice Governor.

He hopes this plant will continue to be developed in line with the increase of cocoa crops in Gorontalo, the provincial government will always support every investment that goes into this area.

"We hope that with the entry of Japanese investors, the economic growth and prosperity of the people in Gorontalo will continue to increase," said Vice Governor. (Ant)
