PTPN IV Received Net Profit of Rp 525,129 Billion

INDUSTRY.co.id - Medan - PT Perkebunan Nusantara (Persero) or PTPN IV until Q3 / 2017 achieved a substantial net profit of Rp525.129 billion.
"Profitability is encouraging because it rose 101.42 percent compared to the same period in 2016 which is still Rp260, 711 billion," said President Director of PTPN IV Siwi Peni in Medan, Monday (30/10/2017).
According to her, the achievement of profit is already above the target in the Corporate Budget Work Plan (RKAP) until the position of September 2018 or reached 140.13 percent.
Siwi asserted, with the achievement of good performance until September, management PTPN IV optimistic can reach, even exceed the target profit during 2017.
"To continue to get the best performance, management continues to run various programs that have been established," she said.
She cited the implementation of the N4-X program (PTPN IV Excellent Execution), improving the "cost structure" and "financial structures", restructuring the organization and managing human resources and conducting people development programs.
She explained the increase in profits derived from better operational performance.
The productivity of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) PTPN IV for example could reach the minimum target of 21.50 tons per hectare from the previous 19.11 tons per hectare in 2016.
Similarly, the productivity of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) that can reach 5.10 tons with 23.73 percent yield and Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) 0.97 tons with 4.53 percent rendemen.
The orthodox tea productivity can already be 2.50 tons per hectare with the composition of tea "grade" I 70 percent.
"The 2016 performance that began to improve after in previous years is less encouraging due to the global crisis is used as a momentum to get maximum results in 2017," said Siwi Peni.
She acknowledged that PTPN's improved performance is also strongly influenced by the selling price of the commodities produced.
Therefore, she said, management continues to perform efficiencies in all areas and increase the productivity of plants and human resources.
"That way, if prices go down, then revenue reductions can stay in balance with spending," she said.
As is known, PTPN IV seeks plantation and processing of oil palm commodities and tea.
The total concession area cultivated reaches 175,735 hectares with plant area yielding 120,442.78 hectares, unproductive plants 17,322,06 hectares, new plant 110,92 hectare and other area 37,859,24 hectares.
