TNI Commander: Reject Sukhoi If Not In accordance with Specification

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo insists the refusal to accept Sukhoi SU-35 fighter aircraft if it does not meet the specifications desired by the Air Force.
"If the Sukhoi plane that comes is not in accordance with the spec requested by Kasau, then I ordered to be canceled, if accepted means me and Kasau implement Insubkordinasi to the President of RI Joko Widodo," said TNI Commander after inaugurating the construction of housing, educational facilities and barracks soldiers the cooperation between PT BCA Tbk and TNI at the Headquarters of Yonkav 7 / Sersus Cijantung, East Jakarta, Tuesday (31/10/2017)
TNI itself will purchase 11 Sukhoi SU-35 Combat Aircraft in accordance with the requirements of the Air Force to strengthen the National Air Defense.
The TNI Commander said that the TNI had sent a letter to the Ministry of Defense with a copy of President Joko Widodo.
"In a limited meeting, the President of the Republic of Indonesia has ordered the fighter to be purchased is a SU-35 Sukhoi aircraft that is ready for combat," he said as quoted by Antara.
Furthermore, the TNI Commander said that the upcoming Sukhoi SU-35 Aircraft is in accordance with the spec submitted by Kasau, ready for combat, among others, equipped with "Air to Air Missile" weaponry, "Air To Ground Missile", "Bomb", "Ground Suport Equipment "," Simulator "," Spare Part "including backup machine.
"If it is not in accordance with the spec, do not be accepted. Hopefully the 11 Sukhoi planes will be equipped in accordance with weapons that need TNI AU, this is the motivation of the TNI in buying fighters from Russia," said TNI Gatot Nurmantyo.
Related to the purchase of TNI Alutsista, TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo explained that in addition to buying Sukhoi SU-35 from Russia, TNI has also purchased the F-16 Fighter and Apache Helicopters from the United States, all equipped with weapons. In addition, the TNI also ordered other armaments from China and European countries.
