Semen Baturaja Receives Indonesia Corporate Governance Award 2017

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk is awarded Indonesia Corporate Governance Award (IGCA) 2017 with nine other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
The award was received directly by the Director General and Human Resources (HR), Amrullah at the awards ceremony IGCA III in Jakarta, Wednesday night (2/11/2017).
On the occasion, Amrullah said, this award shows the bright public if the company has implemented good and professional governance in running the business.
"In addition, most importantly the company is also increasingly competitive," said Amrullah.
IGCA III this year was held thanks to cooperation Economic Review, among others, with IPMI International Business School and Sinergy Daya Prima.
On the same occasion, the founder and President Director of Economic Review, Irlisa Rachmadiana revealed, there are still many companies collapsed due to the implementation of bad corporate governance. As a result, continued Irlisa, many fraud that occurred or no investors who want to buy shares of related companies.
"Therefore it is important for the company to have knowledge of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in running its business," she said.
Apart from the state-owned companies, IGCA III-2017 winners also come from private companies, regional government-owned enterprises (BUMD), regional development banks (BPD), and rural banks (BPR).
"This award is expected to make companies in Indonesia are encouraged to improve the role in the implementation of CGC," lid Irlisa.
