According to the President, he will re-examine the giving of some land that has been given to the community in the Social Forestry program to ensure it is utilized properly.

The government, added Jokowi, will distribute some forest land as the utilization of social forestry.

President explained on Wednesday (1/11), the government has submitted social forest land in Muara Gembong, Bekasi Regency, to be used as shrimp ponds.

He hopes that social forestry can support the economic community by utilizing the land in their respective regions.

In addition, the President also said state-owned banks will provide financial support in assisting the development of social forestry enterprises.

Nevertheless, Jokowi also reminded the public meticulous in calculating capital requirements and loans to the bank so as not to harm.

Meanwhile, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya said social forestry in Indonesia has reached an area of ​​1.08 million hectares.

Some of the social forestry land that is still in the process of completion is 960 thousand hectares.
