KPK Checks Accident Experienced by Setya Novanto

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will check the traffic accidents experienced by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Setya Novanto in the First Green area, Jakarta, Thursday (11/16/2017)

"In the search process we heard the incident that happened tonight. Of course the team immediately checked there to see further what really happened," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah KPK building, Jakarta, Thursday night.

Furthermore, Febri said the KPK team will also check the condition of Setya Novanto who is currently undergoing treatment at Medika Permata Hijau Hospital.

"We will look at the condition of the suspect, but we will also see the exact chronology of whether the accident, if it really happened and resulted in no examination or cannot follow other legal process or still be examined," he said.

Furthermore, Febri also said that the KPK team will also check whether the position of the car is on the way to the Jakarta KPK building or not.

"We need to see also if the accident happened, the position of the car whether headed towards the office of the Commission as it was delivered or heading in another direction and technically the extent to which the conditions of the incident resulted in people in the car," said Febri.

Previously, the KPK officially set the status of the List of People Search (DPO) to Setya Novanto.

Febri said the status of DPO was decided after Setya Novanto did not come or surrender to KPK until Thursday (16/11) maghrib.

"Finally, it was decided by the KPK leadership to send a letter to Police Headquarters, copies to the Police Chief and NCB Interpol made the relevant name into the DPO," said Febri.
