Based on data released by Cisco titled 'Indonesia 2021 Forecast Highlight', the average Internet speed in Indonesia reached 7.4 Mbps in 2016 and will increase to 16.0 in 2021. In addition, total Internet traffic will increase from 2016 to 2021 by 4.9 times, with annual growth rate of 37%. This is driven by a surge in demand for video content, which will reach 74% of all Internet traffic by 2021, up from 52% in 2016.
