Teacher Should Be an Example for His Student

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Education Minister Muhadjir Effendy said teachers should be role models for learners, and it was delivered at the ceremony of National Teacher Day at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Jakarta, Saturday (25/11/2017).
"Let's work hard together to realize the world of education that progressed through the example of teachers," said Muhadjir as reported by Antara.
The theme of National Teacher Day 2017 is "Building Character Education through Master's Example". According Muhadjir, the theme is related to the implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017 on Strengthening Character Education.
In the Pepres, the President mandated the teacher as the main figure in the educational unit, the teacher should play an important role or role model for students and teachers should be the source of exemplary.
Muhadjir invites teachers to think whether they have become role models for learners, and whether the community is enough to glorify teachers who have struggled to educate and shape the characters of the participants.
The ceremony was attended by 775 participants, consisting of symposium participants, creative and innovation competition finalist seminars, teachers and educational staff and 34 professional teachers’ organizations.
This series of National Teacher Day this year has been held from 23 to 26 November 2017 with various activities such as Learning Innovation Competition or Management Unit of PAUD and DIKMAS, School Principal and School Supervisor Symposium, Teacher's Competition, Nation Character Innovation Competition and Master's Seminar Basic education.
