INDUSTRY.co.id - Banjarnegara, Hundreds of homestays in Dieng Plateau Tourism Area, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, are booked by tourists ahead of Dieng Culture Festival (DCF) performance on 4-6 August 2017.
"In fact, already been booked since a month ago. However, as in previous years, we expect the public houses that have been renovated to serve as a pilot 'homestay'," said Chairman of the Tourism Awareness "Dieng Pandavas" Alif Faozi in Banjarnegara, Central Java, on Tuesday (7/25/2017)
Thus, he said, tourists who have not received a "homestay" during DCF 2017 performance can stay in homes of residents who serve as a pilot "homestay".
He said the number of "homestays" in the Dieng Plateau, both entering the district of Banjarnegara and Wonosobo, about 700-800 units.
"If in the village of Dieng Kulon, District Batur, Banjarnegara, there are about 200 'homestay'," he said.
Associated with the tariff "homestay" during the performance of DCF in 2017, he said that under an agreement with the manager, the tariff is increased to Rp50,000-Rp100,000 range by adjusting the facilities provided.
According to him, the rate increase is designated as the owner of "homestay", especially in the village of Dieng Kulon contributing to the funding of one event held on the first day of DCF, 2017, Friday (4/8), in the form of "Kongkow Culture".
In this case, he said, nearly 80 percent of the cost for the event "Kongkow Budaya" is funded by the owner of "homestay".
Spoken about the phreatic eruption in Crater Sileri that occurred on Sunday (2/7), Alif admitted if the incident could have impact on the decline of tourists to Dieng including the cancellation of "homestay" that has been ordered.
"It has affected about a week, but now it has recovered once they know the truth, Dieng remains safe for tourists," he said
