Rupiah Moves Up On Inflation Target

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) mentions the rupiah continues to maintain volatility. Even the depreciation of the rupiah against the dollar is lower than last year.
Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Martowardojo revealed, year to date (ytd), rupiah maintained 3%. This is in line with the year-end inflation target of 4 percent plus minus one percent.
"Rupiah maintained 3,%, ytd depreciation 0.4%, in line with the inflation target of the range agreed 4% + - 1%," he said in Jakarta, Monday (11/12/2017).
Current Account Deficit (CAD) or current account deficit does not exceed 2% of Gross Domestic Production (GDP) and next year does not exceed 3% of GDP.
Earlier, the exchange rate of rupiah traded interbank in Jakarta on Monday (11/12/2017) moved down by 20 points to Rp13,550 compared to the previous position at Rp13.530 per US dollar (US).
