Menperin: Wushu, Sports that must be Developed

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Wushu is one of the most excellent sports in Indonesia. This sport also often presents the best achievement in the international arena.

It was dismissed by Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto who is also the Chairman of PB Wushu Indonesia when meeting with the big board of Wushu Indonesia in Jakarta (21/7/2017).

"Wushu is a sport that should continue to be developed, because this sport builds mentally the young generation of Indonesia," said Airlangga.

In the midst of his daily routine as Minister of Industry in an effort to spur the performance of national industry, Airlangga is also focused on giving encouragement to Indonesian wushu athletes who will join SEA Game 2017 in Malaysia.

According to him, Indonesian wushu athletes are ready to compete with the fight to win gold medal to bring the name of the nation and the country in the international arena.

Towards the 2017 Sea Games, as many as 15 athletes pelatnas wushu will be dispatched to China to practice for one month. "It is expected that these siblings can practice well, and the most important thing is to maintain health and cohesiveness.The government will appreciate as much as possible to the achievement," he explained.

On the other side, in order to maintain the achievement of Wushu Indonesia, Airlangga also promised to add representatives of the organization of the martial arts sports in six provinces following the 28 existing wushu provincial government officials.

"We expect the provincial board will be 34. We encourage the provincial board to print the national athletes of achievement," concluded Airlangga.
