Three SMEs have been named as Market Disruptors

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - A total of three state-owned enterprises namely PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PP), PT BNI, and PT Pelindo I was named as "market disruptor" because it is considered able to deal with disruption era by bringing added value, uniqueness, and creativity.

CEO of SOE Track S.H. Sutarto at the award ceremony of SOE Branding and Marketing Award in Jakarta, Thursday (14/12/2017) said that his party initiated the implementation of "SOE Branding & Marketing Award 2017" with the theme "To Handle Disruption".

The competition decides PT Pelindo 1 as "The Best Branding" BUMN and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk as the "Best Marketing" SOE.

While the category of subsidiaries, PT Indonesia Vehicle Terminal was named "The Best Branding" and PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia as "The Best Marketing". The four companies are considered to have outstanding performance that outperformed other participants, Sutarto said.

In the category of Best SOE CMO, the name of Bambang Eka Cahyana who served as President Director of PT Pelindo 1 was selected as "The Best CMO Branding & Marketing Leadership".

Furthermore, "The Best CMO Creative Branding & Marketing Initiative" was achieved by PT SMI President Director Emma Sri Martini, "The Best CMO Personal Communication" was awarded to Director of Marketing & Services AP 1 Mochammad Asrori.

Meanwhile, the category of "The Best CMO Corporate Branding Performance" was achieved by the Managing Director of PT Pelindo III IG.N. Askhara Dhanadiputra and "The Best CMO Digital Branding & Marketing Initiative" fall into the hands of Tumiyana, President Director of PT Pembangunan Perumahan, Tbk.

The winning directors are capable of managing and strengthening the company's position, both in terms of branding and marketing, resulting in a positive reputation for the company.

"In the midst of an era of disruption and uncertain digitalization requires qualified leaders in the implementation of strategy and implementation, the winners have been able to provide the right direction for their company," he told media crew.

The judging process for the awarding took place two stages, namely selection of documentation questionnaires and interviews.

As mentioned by Editor-in-Chief of SOE Track Akhmad Kusaeni, there is a significant increase in the number of participants this year.

Of the 103 participants, 70 companies consisting of 40 SOEs and 30 BUMN Subsidiaries passed the second stage of judging to conduct interviews and materials in front of the jury.

"As many as 16 CEOs or Presidents make presentations, 26 Marketing Directors, the rest are represented by Vice President, Corporate Secretary and General Manager officials, which shows the enthusiasm and seriousness of the participants in joining this event," Akhmad Kusaeni said.

In addition to giving an appreciation to SOEs that have demonstrated superior performance in terms of branding and marketing, SOE Branding & Marketing Award 2017 held magazine BUMN Track supported House of Change and Arrbey Consulting is also aimed to measure the competitiveness of Branding and Marketing SOEs.

In addition to exchanging ideas, thoughts, experiences, and inspirations between SOEs and SOE subsidiaries, as well as become aspirations and motivation and build better synergy SOEs.

While the jury is chaired by Prof Rhenald Kasali as founder of the House of Change supported by a jury consisting of Dr Handito Joewono, Chief Strategy Consultant Arrbey; Daniel Surya, CEO of WIR Group; Prof. Agus W. Soehadi, Dean of Prasetiya Mulya University; Prof. Dr. Budi Haryono, MM, Professor of Krida Wacana Christian University; Agus Nurudin, Managing Director of The Nielson Company Indonesia; and Piotr Jakubowski, Chief Marketing Officer of PT. GO-JEK Indonesia.

According to Kusaeni, based on the credibility and integrity, the result of SOE Branding and Marketing Award is expected to be a reflection for the management of SOEs in the future which is more aggressive, creative and innovative especially in handling disruption era.
