INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - In 2017, the government has targeted 15 million foreign tourists visit to Indonesia. However, the target is not achieved.
According to the Minister of Tourism (Menpar), Arief Yahya, that the projection of 2017 is not reached 15 million foreign tourists visit.
"The achievement of the number while the number of foreign tourist (wisman) arrivals in the period of January to October 2017 cumulatively amounted to 11,617,828 foreign tourists or grew 24 percent compared to the same period in 2016 as 9,403,614 foreign tourists. So, projected until the end of December 2017, the number of foreign tourists reached 14 million, "said Arief Yahya, Minister of Tourism, at the Press Conference of Late Year 2017, at the Ministry of Tourism, Jakarta, Thursday (21/12/2017).
Arief said that his cumulative November month was not achieved, only 13.1 million foreign tourists. However, the realization of November predicted only reached 12.8 million foreign tourists.
"So, we do not reach 1 million," said Menpar.
Meanwhile, Arief explained the estimated realization of the movement of domestic tourists in October 2017 as much as 25.077.000 foreign tourist with expenditure reached Rp 22.92 trillion. Meanwhile, cumulatively January-October 2047 As much as 252.569.466 foreign tourist movement with expenditure of Rp 230.91 trillion.
"Foreign tourist achievement in January-October 2017 is 14 percent higher than the target set at 221.5 million foreign tourists," he added.
According to Arief, withdrawing from the movement of wisman is the existence of air transportation modes used wisman increased in October 2017, with the number of domestic air passengers as many as 7,523,100 people.
Thus, the estimated realization of wisman using air transport as much as 2.256.930 movement. "This year, the target of 265 million optimistic wisman movements will be exceeded," he concluded.
Known, in November wisman target of 19.5 million and December 2017 of 24 million, while the number of wisman prognosis in the previous month between 20 million to 27 million.
