Vice Governor Sandiaga Makes Sure that Congestion in Tanah Abang Reduced

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the congestion rate decreased after the arrangement of Independent Small Traders (PKM) in Tanah Abang area starting Friday (22/12).
"The data is not yet valid data, because the measurements that have been calculated since December 23-26 are in the middle of the holiday period, where traffic traffic is not as crowded as usual," said Sandiaga at City Hall, Friday (29/12/2017 )
Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta has a new concept in the arrangement of Tanah Abang area. By synergizing a number of mass transportation modes and trading centers, Tanah Abang area which is strategic will be more organized and become the downtown of Jakarta in the future, he said.
From the evaluation during the week closing of Jalan Jati Baru Raya, the congestion on December 23 to 26, 2017 is an average of 56 percent compared to the previous week, he said.
"During the road closure, the other side of Jalan Jati Baru is used as a shuttle bus line provided by PT Transjakarta for free, so that residents can easily surround Tanah Abang area," said Sandiaga.
PT. Transjakarta prepared 10 shuttle buses with stickers "Tanah Abang Explorer". One bus unit can accommodate 66 passengers, he said.
The arrangement of Tanah Abang area titled #SinergiTanahAbang done in two stages. The first or short-term Untum, Jakarta Provincial Government imposed the closure of one side of Jati Baru Street in front of the old gate of Tanah Abang Station which then used as the location to sell PKM.
There are 400 tents measuring 2 X 2 meters are prepared for the PKM is divided into 115 culinary fare and no culinary merchandise as many as 265 pieces.
