Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Will Build CPO Plant in Kalimantan

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk (SSMS) plans to build a Crude Palm Oil (CPO) factory in Kalimantan. Funds needed to build the plant is about Rp205 billion.
"This year, the company is preparing a capital expenditure (Capex) of US $ 20 million or approximately Rp270 billion," said Nicholas Whittle, Director of Finance at Nias Resources Wholesale, told reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/1/2018).
The investment spent to build a factory, according to Nicholas, reached US $ 15 million or Rp202.5 billion. The plant's investment is also financed by capital expenditure in 2019.
"The plan to build the plant will be done in the first quarter of 2018. Construction of the plant will take up to 14 months," he said.
He said that the two new factories will increase the company's CPO production capacity. Currently, the company has been able to produce CPO reaching 375 metric tons (MT) per hour.
"In 2020 our CPO oil production capacity is 525 MT per hour. The Company has six palm oil factories located in Kalimantan, in addition, the company has one palm kernel factory in Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan," Nicholas said.
