INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - To boost export performance, PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) are planning to open a marketing office in the Philippines in March 2018.
"In March we will open an office there and that is our first office abroad," said President Director of PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk, Irwan Hidayat to the press in Jakarta, Thursday (4/1/2018).
As for the target in the first 3 years since the opening of the representative office, the company can widely introduce products from Sidomuncul to Filipino people.
"For the next new year we put the sales target," said Irwan.
Currently, domestic herbal medicine producers are 986 companies consisting of 102 traditional medicine companies (IOT) and the rest are small-scale traditional medicine (UKOT) which is spread all over Indonesia, especially in Java Island.
This year, the herbal medicine industry and traditional medicine in the country are projected to produce a turnover growth of up to 10%.
Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Herbal and Traditional Medicine (GP Jamu), Dwi Ranny Pertiwi Zarman said the figure can be achieved as long as the industry players can manage their business activities in an orderly fashion.
"For this year, we hope to grow up to 10% with a turnover of about Rp16 trillion to Rp17 trillion," said Ranny. (Imq)
