INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi conveyed that the Government of Indonesia implements "zero tariffs" for some of the Palestinian products entering Indonesia to support the Palestinians in the economic field.
"Especially in the field of economy, Indonesia implements 'zero tariff' for a number of Palestinian products to Indonesian market," Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said at the Annual Press Statement of Foreign Minister 2018 in Jakarta on Tuesday (9/1/2017).
The "zero tariffs" policy imposed on a number of Palestinian products entering the Indonesian market began to be implemented earlier this year.
According to the Foreign Minister, the policy of "zero tariff" is a form of Indonesian support for the Palestinian struggle in the economic field.
"Indonesia's support for Palestine is not only political support, but also economic support and technical cooperation," said Retno.
The Indonesian Foreign Minister stated that this year Indonesia will also increase water and health desalination cooperation with the Palestinians.
Retno stressed that Indonesian diplomacy will continue to fight for the Palestinians for the sake of humanity and for justice.
"Once again, Palestine is at the heart of Indonesia's foreign policy, and in every breath of Indonesian diplomacy, there is a struggle for Palestine," she said.
On that occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs again called on countries in the world to continue to provide support for the Palestinians.
