Artificial Biofarma Vaccines Used in 136 Countries

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - In the Independent Merdeka Barat Forum 9 (FMB9) titled "Immunization, Diphtheria and Antivaxin Movement" President Director of PT Biofarma Juliman said 136 countries have used the vaccine from PT Biofarma.

"Biofarma is the only vaccine producer in Indonesia up to now, we are implementing high quality, our products have been approved by WHO (World Health Organization)," said Juliman at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemkominfo), Jakarta, Friday (12/1) / 2018) then.

Nevertheless, Juliman said, PT Biofarma does not prioritize vaccine exports if it is in the country needier, as it is now where the Government is serious in dealing with Extraordinary Events (Disease Outbreaks) associated with Diphtheria.

"We Biofarma does not put exports in. We instead delay (export) to UNICEF and bilaterally to provide vaccines domestically, as our needs increase we add working days, from five days to seven working days, specifically to provide vaccines for domestic, "said Juliman.

Juliman confirmed, before the vaccine produced PT Biofarma sold, will be tested first by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). If you have not received a certificate from BPOM, then the vaccine cannot be sold.

Therefore, he asserted that PT Biofarma production vaccine is good quality and safe for society. "If you cannot get a certificate from BPOM, vaccines cannot be sold," said Juliman.
