INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The celebration of the National Press Day (HPN) which will be held in Padang, West Sumatera on February 8 and 9, 2018, reportedly the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo will attend the event.
"Yes the schedule is like that, President Jokowi God willing will be in Padang for the peak of National Press Day (HPN) 8 and 9 February 2018," said the committee HPN from the central PWI, Mhd Ihsan, in Jakarta, Tuesday (16/1/2018).
On Tuesday morning Governor Irwan Prayitno and a number of staff and Chairman of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Margiono center and the central HPN committee received Mensesneg Pratikno. The event ran the visit of head of state to Padang.
During the meeting, the Minister of State Secretary called President Joko Widodo to Padang on 8 and 9 February 2018. In Padang, in addition to attending the events of the journalists, the President will review and inaugurate several projects.
According to Ihsan, the President's presence at the HPN event should be utilized by the local area for development.
Meanwhile, Pratikno advised the Governor and PWI to prepare the event as well as possible so that the presence of the head of state brings benefits to the people.
"Jokowi has been to West Sumatera several times in a series of events, and every HPN has always been present, except HPN in Batam who attended the Vice President, Jusuf Kalla," said Praktino.
PWI Chairman of West Sumatera Heranof and Public Relation of the Provincial Government of Jasman said that the preparation in Padang has almost finished.
"We start countdown," Jasman said.
