He reminded, it has also been regulated in Government Regulation No. 12 of 1991 on the Transfer of Form of Salt PU into a Limited Liability Company.
Abdul Halim, who also serves as Executive Director of the Center for Maritime Studies for Humanity, also wants the government to ensure harmonization of salinity policies, salt farming assistance and revitalization of PT Garam.
"Harmonization of pergaraman policies that impact on declining productivity and competitiveness of domestic salt farmers, such as Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 125 of 2015 on Provisions on Import of Salt.

The first solution is to strengthen the economic institutional of salt farmers with improved management capacity. Institutions established by the government in managing salt are required to synergize with existing local community governance, and can be strengthened by the existence of Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDesa).
While the second solution is the strengthening of the capital capacity and capability of the capital management of the community salt farmers, so there must be intensive assistance to farmers that are adjusted to the industry salt standards.
While the third solution is a strong social capital of the community, which is considered proven to maintain the rhythm of production because of mutual belonging raises a high work ethic for the sake of mutual prosperity.
Finally, the fourth solution is the application of appropriate technology to be a necessity for the production process to be more adaptive to climate change that affects economic activity.
