INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Wiranto said the fight against terrorism must involve all national powers.
"All national powers must be involved in fighting terrorism," said Wiranto at Kemenko Polhukam office, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/1/2018).
The former TNI commander explained that in view of the numerous terror that has occurred, the terrorists will not choose their victims when they launch the action.
Everyone, the police, the TNI, or the public could be the victims of the terrorist's terrible actions.
"So it cannot be bits and pieces," he added.
Related to the proposal to involve the TNI in the handling of terrorists, the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs considers it necessary to be done, with the record to be regulated in the Draft Law on Terrorism.
"If it is not confirmed, when the TNI fired on terrorists could be accused of human rights violations again, this is what we secure, so that the security forces, including the TNI, do not hesitate against the terrorists," Wiranto said.
"In the fight against terrorism, do not let us inhibit our own way, it will be heavy," said Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.
