INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrests East Halmahera Regent Rudi Erawan, a suspect in corruption accepting a prize related to the project at the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing for Fiscal Year 2016.

Previously, the Commission determined Rudi Erawan as a suspect on January 31, 2018.

"Suspected Rudi Erawan detained in the Class 1 Rutan Jakarta East Branch KPK for the next 20 days," said Daily Executor (Plh.) Head of Public Relations Bureau KPK Yuyuk Andriati when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday (12/2/2018)

Meanwhile, Rudi Erawan prefers to speak frankly after leaving the KPK building, Jakarta, to the prison car that has been waiting for him.

"No comment, yes, Mana, I do not accept, that politics," said Rudi who was wearing the orange vest of KPK prisoners.

In that case, Rudi Erawan is also suspected of receiving gratuities related to his post and which is contrary to his duties or duties.

For his actions, Rudi Erawan is suspected of violating Article 12 Letter a or Article 12 letter b or Article 12B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20/2001 juncto Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

Rudi Erawan is the 11th suspect in the case.

Previously, the KPK has assigned 10 others as suspects related to the project in the Ministry of PUPR Fiscal Year 2016.

Ten suspects, among others, President Director of PT Windu Tunggal Utama Abdul Khoir, Head of National Road Implementing Agency (BPJN) IX Maluku and North Maluku Amran Hi Mustary, commissioner of PT Cahaya Mas Perkasa So Kok Seng, Julia Prasetyarini from private element, Dessy A Edwin as a housewife, as well as five members of the House of Representatives Damayanti Wisnu Putranti, Budi Supriyanto, Andi Taufan Tiro, Musa Zainudin, and Yudi Widiana Adia.

Nine of the 10 suspects have been convicted in the Jakarta Corruption Court, while suspects Yudi Widiana Adia is currently undergoing trial process.

Investigators obtained the facts supported by evidence as witness testimony, letters, and electronic goods that the suspect Amran Hi Mustary during the position of Head of the National Road Implementing Agency (BPJN) IX Maluku and North Maluku several times has received some money from suspects Abdul Khoir and various other contractors.

Part of the money is then given by Amran Hi Mustary to Rudi Erawan. Allegedly Rudi Erawan received a total of about Rp6, 3 billion.

The case begins with the arrest of a member of the House of Representatives Damayanti Wisnu Putranti together with three others, namely Julia Prasetyarini, Dessy A. Edwin, and Abdul Khoir in Jakarta in January 2016.

At that time, the investigator secured money 33,000 Singapore dollars from the hands of Julia Prasetyarini and Dessy A. Edwin. The money is part of a bribe given to members of the House of Representatives to secure projects at the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing for Fiscal Year 2016.
