Not Allowed For Sprue, BPOM Disallows the Circulation of Albothyl from Pharos

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Through a circular of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), Thursday (15/2 /) it prohibits the circulation of Albothyl products. There are policresulent contents that can cause a person suffering from serious illness.
The product is rated to contain 36% concentrated policresulent concentrate which is not recommended for curing skin diseases to dental and gum problems.
Albothyl is an external drug used by dripping on the point of sick skin. In his statement BPOM states that policresulen is sold must be prescribed by a doctor.
Policresulen is a type of antiseptic that can overcome the skin. But generally to overcome the intimate area, such as genital warts, cervical inflammation, vaginal inflammation and other problems associated with vital organs.
Albothyl products have been produced by PT Pharos. According to the Manager of PT Pharos, Imawan explained that BPOM is actually just a sign for the public to be careful when using Albothyl when overcoming sprue.
"The use of this drug is only for the intimate area of women more precisely because policresulen content can be used to treat any kind of skin diseases, except for cancer patients," Imawan said as reported.
Imawan explained, the company has not made withdrawal of Albothyl products.
"BPOM has sent a letter to PT Pharos and is being reviewed first," he continued.
Pharos pharmaceutical producers lately their products received a review from BPOM. One of the Viostin DSs found to contain pig DNA.
