INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- President Joko Widodo believes local sneaker shoe products to be superior in quality to compete in the global market.
Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Secretariat of President Bey Machmudin in his written statement in Jakarta on Saturday, mentioned President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Saturday afternoon (3/3/2018) visited the sneaker shoe exhibition held at the mall located in Senayan , Jakarta.
In addition to taking time to spend the weekend with family, Head of State use the opportunity to see the development of shoe market and industry, especially sneaker in the country.
"This is what I want to see trends in. What kind of market trends? What kind of shoe trends?" the President told journalists.
Although still dominated by foreign products, the President believes that Indonesian sneaker products are superior so they can compete in the international market.
"There was also a 'hand made' for example, there is also a production form that I see is also good," he said.
In addition to superior in terms of quality, the price offered is also more competitive. This is according to the President will further increase the selling value of Indonesian sneakers products.
"Must see the market trend, what kind of design is preferred? Then what color is preferred? Any price if happy consumers must be purchased," said the President.
Not to forget, the President invites the people of Indonesia to participate together with the government to support and appreciate the products of the nation's work.
"Buy domestic products," said the President.
The President also shows the shoes of domestic production that he bought for Rp380 thousand.
"This is from the Bandung area, really good," he said.
On the occasion, the President who was accompanied by Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo and his family bought several pairs of shoes and jackets as well.
"I buy shoes and jackets only," said the President.
