INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (IDX) closed down to 0.09% or 6 points to 6,544 in the first trading session on Tuesday (06/03/2018) compared to the previous day's trading position at 6,550 .

During the first session of trading today, 193 stocks rose in price, 155 stocks fell, 129 stagnant shares and 138 shares were not traded at all while IHSG moves in the range of 6,542-6,589.

The total transaction value in all BEI market segments was recorded at Rp2.98 trillion. It consists of transaction value in the Regular Market of Rp2.43 trillion and in Negotiated Market of Rp552.05 billion.

Total trading volume of 49.70 million lots of shares, resulting from 210,501 times of transactions. Foreign investors recorded net sales of shares amounting to Rp275, 30 billion with a sales volume of 837,520 lot shares.

Five of the nine sectoral indices have declined. The financial sector index experienced the deepest decline, ie by 0.4% or 4.67 points to 1,173 positions. Then it is followed by the consumer sector index and the index of miscellaneous industry sectors each trimmed 0.28% and 0.21%. (Abraham Sihombing)
