SBY: President Jokowi Is Not Just the Head of State, but also the Leader of the Nation

INDUSTRY.co.id - Sentul - General Chairman of the Democratic Party who is also the sixth President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono declared his party ready to support President Joko Widodo as head of government, in the success of the election 2018 and 2019.

"The Democrats will fully support the President to make the election truly fair, honest and democratic, because the head of state is the President, the most morally and politically responsible, certainly with our help, for the honest, just and democratic elections in Indonesia," said SBY in the opening speech Rapimnas Democrats at the Sentul International Convention Center, West Java, Saturday (10/3/2018).

SBY says President Jokowi is not only a Head of State, but also a nation leader. So it is compulsory for the Democrats to give a high respect to a leader.

"That is the political ethic that Democrats understand and run," he said.

Regarding elections, Legislative Election and Presidential Election, SBY stressed the Democrats would want success and can win the election.

The determination, he said, must also be owned by other parties.

For that Democrats want to fight and try hard to win.

"There are no magic recipes, no shortcuts to reach the victory, we will fight the election principle, honest, fair, democratic, Democrats ask the blessing of the President and the invite to be successful," said SBY.

The opening of Rapimnas Democrat was opened by the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo. Attending the event were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo, Menkopolhukam Wiranto, former Chief of Staff of Presidency Teten Masduki, former Vice President Boediono, a number of ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet, as well as a number of other figures.
