Dekopi Welcomes Minister of Agriculture to Help Coffee Growers

INDUSTRY.co.id - Tangerang Selatan - Indonesian Coffee Council Vice Chairman Gozali Hansen welcomes the offer of Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman to assist coffee farmers in Indonesia.
"The offer of the Minister of Agriculture to provide assistance coffee seedlings superior and fertilizer are the right steps to improve the welfare of coffee farmers in Indonesia," he said, on the sidelines of the "Launching Day National Coffee and Pledge Board Dekopi" Building Intermark, South Tangerang City, Sunday (13 / 3/2018) as quoted by Antara.
According to Gozali Hansen, Indonesia as a producer of the best quality coffee in the world is currently experiencing setbacks and began rival other coffee producing countries, such as Brazil and Vietnam.
Bids Minister of Agriculture to provide assistance coffee quality seeds and fertilizer, he said, provides several benefits, which can improve the welfare of Indonesian coffee farmers while increasing the production of coffee in Indonesia, both in quantity and quality.
"If the proram of the Minister of Agriculture is implemented seriously, I am optimistic Indonesia can be victorious again as a producer of quality coffee in the world," he said.
Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman expressed his happiness with the establishment of Dekopi, which is expected to be a bridge between the interests of coffee farmers, the Government, and the business world.
Andi Amran said, interested in Decopi's determination to make a pledge will work hard to promote Indonesia's coffee production.
"I am happy, because one of my duties as Minister of Agriculture has been replaced by Dekopi.On this day, one of my tasks has been completed," he said.
On the occasion, Andi Amran Sulaiman, offering superior seeds of coffee and fertilizer to farmers who became the guardian of coffee association.
Amran Sulaiman, asked for a number of coffee associations who joined to form Dekopi, to nurture coffee farmers by overseeing coffee cultivation and then buying coffee from farmers.
"If this program works well, I am optimistic that Indonesia's coffee production could increase threefold," he said.
Amran Sulaiman is also optimistic that if coffee production increases, coffee export from Indonesia will increase. (Ant)
