DPR Appreciates KPK's Performance is Good

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Chairman of the House of Representatives (DPR) Bambang Soesatyo said the Corruption Eradication Commission's performance (KPK) is good in handling and eradicating corruption.
"The performance of the KPK is good but we hope it is better in the future to eradicate corruption," said Bambang at KPK Building Jakarta, Monday (12/3/2018).
Bambang said that after attending the KPK's invitation to launch the KPK Annual Report and also the "KPK Hearing" event.
"We of the House of Representatives give a great appreciation to the KPK who has started to submit reports openly through public meetings and also KPK held 'KPK Heard'," he said.
According to the man who is familiarly called Bamsoet, in the meeting the agency also gave a lot of input to the KPK.
"Commission III also provides a lot of input, constructive critics of course and we ask the KPK to maintain this and improve it in the days ahead," he said.
He also stated that the first step after he was inaugurated as Chairman of the House is to improve relations with the KPK.
"So, my time is not much to improve the House of Representatives, improving public image and public confidence in the House of Representatives, one of which causes the House is always attacked by the public is a bad relationship with the Commission, so the first step when I was inaugurated was to improve relations with the KPK," Bamsoet.
One of them, he said, by speeding up the completion of KPK Question Rights by providing good input to the KPK.
"Well in the future this relationship must be maintained because corruption eradication is not only done by the KPK but by all" stakeholders "in this Republic, including the House of Representatives, so we both realize that you must join hands to go to Indonesia free of corruption," he said.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion, KPK Chairman Agus Rahardjo told media crews that his agency on Monday launched the KPK's annual report by inviting all "stakeholders" from the legislature, the judiciary and the executive.
In addition to the launch of the annual report, the KPK also held a "KPK Hearing" event.
"Our goal is for communication and friendship, so we heard more, heard more from him, both from the legislative, executive and judicial," Agus said.
